Overview

To align with major campaigns or product launches, Lovehoney Australia advertises through billboards, wildposting, and other out of home mediums. Brand recognition is most important for this marketing channel, as well as clear communication of the brand’s message. There are also advertising restrictions for a company like Lovehoney, so utilising cheeky messaging or innuendoes can help stay within the restrictions. 

Designing for large out of home print or digital billboards can be tricky as scale and proportions are very important. People might only have a few seconds driving by the design to understand the message and see the branding, so clear, concise designs are integral. Also, with advertising restrictions in Australia, one has to be a bit more creative to showcase the Lovehoney brand without overtly showing products. 

Design

I designed a range of digital billboards for Lovehoney’s Black Friday Sale in 2024 & 2025. My main goals for this was to clearly highlight the sale offer in addition to the brand and url. I took learnings from 2024 to incorporate a more obvious url in 2025, highlighting it in a way to appear as a button or CTA. 

The Womanizer Enhance product launch in 2025 was an important launch for the brand because of its unique technology and research findings of 100% of users experiencing an orgasm. The AU/NZ B2B team wanted to highlight the product in a unique way which we could do without heavy restrictions with OOH wild posting posters.
